Certified  Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT) Teacher with the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science.

She was  awarded the Nalanda Institute Fellows Program 2019-2020, "designed to support the ongoing research and professional development of committed graduates who show clear promise as future leaders in the emerging field of contemplative science and practice". 


Certified Compassionate Integrity Training (CIT) facilitator with Life University. 

PHD student within the the theme of Compassion Science, Ethics and Philosophy with Åbo Academy University.  

Maria is slowly but steadily building an Online Compassion Glossary 

A public speaker on Compassion, Empathy, Altruism.  

Maria is a Yoga Teacher within the Hatha Tradition, offering yoga classes and "Mind" meditation classes weekly within a national health network (Friskis och Svettis).  

She has a Certificate in Sound Work- Tibetean Singing Bowls and incorporates that in her contemplative offerings. 

She works since twenty years with international aid, particularly Humanitarian Aid, currently with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and before that for the United Nations The World Food Programme, and  The Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC/CEPAL)  .
